Google has officially opened Google+ to businesses and brands in addition to individuals, and it is calling the new feature Google+ Pages. A Page is similar to an individual account. Users are able to add Pages to any of their regular Circles, and Page owners are able to post as usual and take part in Hangouts. Pages also turn up in Google search results, and the company has introduced a new Direct Connect as well that lets you search specifically for Google+ Pages. Enter “+Google” or “+Angry Birds” in a Google search box and you will be taken directly to the respective page. Both features are rolling out on a limited basis, but Google plans to open them to everyone soon.
If you haven’t already created a personal Google+ profile, you will need to do that first. For instructions how to create a Google+ page for your business, click on: http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/how-to-set-up-a-google-page-for-your-business/
